Late Fee Policy

Rent is due on the 1st and late after 5 p.m. on the 5th of every month.

Dover Management Company will work with residents on the late payment of rent in certain situations, but residents need to notify us that rent is going to be late. Take the time to call or email us, and we will make a notation on your account. If we don’t hear from you, it will result in the eviction process being started and our goal is to avoid that as best we can. Late fees can add up, so it’s important to pay your rent on time.

If you need help with your rent, here are some steps you can take if you live in Norfolk or the surrounding area:

1. Call our office and let us know you will be late.
2. Give us a date and time as to when your rent will be paid or who you have contacted for help.
3. There are several entities that help residents with their rent when hardship hits.
